On Tuesday, April 22, 2014, the Foundation for Hospice held its 10th Annual Lights of Remembrance Service at the Jacksonville Commons fountain area.  The memorial service had as its guest performer harpist Winifred Garrett.  Ms. Garrett is the principal harpist for the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra and has performed at such places as the Metropolitan Opera House in New York, the Long Leaf Opera House in Chapel Hill, and the West Piedmont Symphony.  The crowd that was gathered received a brilliant performance at this evening performance that was opened to all.

Almost 1,000 luminaries surrounded the pond thanks to the help of Camp Lejeune Boys Scout Troop #490 and the Camp Johnson/Camp Lejeune Young Marines.  It was a breathtaking sight when the sky darkened.
